Our ASF Committee 2019 - 2020
At Scoil San Carlo JNS, we strive to keep more children, more active, more often. According to the World Health Organisation, children should be physically active for at least 60 minutes each day. Our school provides opportunities for physical activity through our timetabled P.E. lessons, a variety of movement breaks in the classrooms and twice daily breaks on the yard. All classes are taught the five different P.E. strands; aquatics, athletics, dance, games, gymnastics and outdoor and adventure. Our school teaches the Land PAWS Water Safety Program in the final term each year. We also prioritise four Fundamental Movement Skills for further development within our P.E. program. Over the last few years, our pupils have been encouraged to participate in P.E. homework. We love to see children being physically active at home. The Active Committee can be contacted at the following email address: scjactiveschool@gmail.com. We would love to see photos from any sporting activities your child takes part in. These photos will not be put on the school website but will be displayed in our P.E. hall. Resources In Our School
