To promote physical and mental health for all members of the school community through the school culture and environment, through the curriculum, and through school policies. (Movement breaks/dance/music/P.E./yoga - in co-ordination with the Active Committee.)
To promote a sense of safety in school and support development of the school Bí Cineálta policy which promotes respect, kindness and understanding. (Teacher Wellbeing Committee/Pupil Wellbeing Committee)
To promote a sense of belonging and connectedness throughout the school community through a range of school events. (Assemblies/parent-teacher meetings/whole school celebrations)
To create a supportive environment that fosters and values positive relationships, promotes resilience, collaboration and learning for all. (Kindness tree/yard monitors/nurture room/social groups/golden time/school playground visits/class tours)
This is our kindness tree. Every week Ms Smyth reads out kindness leaves at assembly to recognise the children who have been exceptionally kind in our school!
